dead arrow

The arrow crab died a few days ago and today the decorator was dead when I got up. He had been wandering around the tank during the day for the last week or so, which was unusual. I changed around 10g of water, added strontium, molybdenum, iodine and calcium but he died anyway. The fish and coral seem fine as do the snails.

The blue tang seems to be getting a little better. He has fewer spots now and they protrude less from his body.

still there

The white spots are still on the blue tang, but haven't spread yet. He seems to be doing slightly better, but he still has spots that are less white now. Tanks are still separated, feeding raw chopped garlic and brine shrimp and/or flakes.

White Spots

Discovered white spots on the new blue tang today, I think it's ich (that's what I get for going to petco and not quarantining). I separated the 2 tanks for now, I hope it goes away naturally. Refugium and 30g are together, reef and amiracle are together.

MIA Mandarin

The mandarin fish is now MIA, I don't remember seeing it for at least a month.
Got a new blue tang today (Paracanthurus hepatus) from petco, it was a surprise to me too, but it actually looked in very good shape. around $63. I'm going to acclimate him for 1 hour to make sure.

The sweetlips is still missing as well, pretty sure he's long gone.

missing Sweet Lips

The Sweet Lips is missing, I haven't seen it since I got back from Denver a week ago. It must have somehow died and got subsequently eaten, or it jumped out and was eaten by a cat. Also, during my trip the torch fell on top of the lavender mushroom nearly killing it. I am hoping to resurrect it with the remaining scraps that are left stuck to the rock (about 1/4 cm square).

Yesterday I changed about 50% of the water in the fresh water tank, no problems and it seemed to re-energize the tank.
