OnLine purchasing

The whole experience of buying the last mit proline from audiogon was a bit unnerving. The seller from canada did not insure the package and sent it in a plastic shipping bag and it arrived broken. It ended up costing $100 to fix (for a cable that was overpriced to begin with at $250), which we split, but I still feel this was a waste. I'm glad the cable is in good working order now from the factory, but the whole ordeal lasted for months and was really annoying. The lesson from this is to always discuss shipping insurance with buyers or sellers.
